What is it?
A Provincial initiative for new and established Freemasons in Surrey to share experiences, gain knowledge and meet for social events.
The Surrey 1837 Club is the Light Blues club for Freemasons in Surrey. The name reflects the year 1837 in which the Provincial Grand Lodge for Surrey was constituted. The Surrey 1837 Club aims to help every member integrate into their Masonic journey, unite them with other Freemasons and cultivate friendships, support growth, increase knowledge and, most of all, have fun!
They run several events throughout the year to give their members the opportunity to meet and socialise with like-minded Freemasons at similar stages in their Masonic progression. These events include visits to Freemasons Hall in Great Queen Street, visits to other Lodges, talks by guest speakers, dinner and curry nights. They also encourage wives, partners, and non-Mason friends to come along to many of their social events too.
How Do I join?
As soon as you have been initiated into Freemasonry in the Province of Surrey or you are a Freemason that lives in Surrey, you are automatically a member of The Surrey 1837 Club. There is no application form to fill in and no fees to pay. If you would like to know more about the club, then please contact a member of the committee who will be happy to help.
